About

The Edinburgh Softball League began as a closed Surveyors League in the early 1990s, with six teams who were helped with coaching and umpiring by the only local softball club, the Picts.  The league was administered by a Sports Consultancy before the teams themselves took over the running of it in 1999.

Now there are two leagues, with players of all levels coming together to enjoy the game. The Edinburgh softball league is a co-ed league, each team fielding men and women in each game.

League play starts early in May and ends late in August, just before the Edinburgh Festiball Tournament. Games are played at 6:30/7pm on Monday through Thursday evenings, with up to three games per night at Marine Drive.
